Aled Jones
Aled Jones is a Welsh singer, actor, and broadcaster born 29 December 1970 in Bangor, Wales. Raised in the Welsh-speaking village of Llandegfan on Anglesey, he joined the choir of Bangor Cathedral at age nine and became known for his pure boy-treble voice.

About Aled Jones
His 1985 recording of "Walking in the Air," from the animated film The Snowman, reached number five on the UK singles chart and made him a household name as a teenager. Albums recorded before his voice broke, including All Through the Night (number two on the UK chart) and Voices from the Holy Land (number six), were also released that year. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2013 for services to music and broadcasting.
When his voice changed at sixteen, Jones studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, later rebuilding a singing career as an adult baritone. He moved into presenting, fronting BBC One's Songs of Praise since 2004 and ITV's Daybreak with Lorraine Kelly, and recorded duet albums with tenor Russell Watson, including the UK classical chart-topper Back in Harmony.
Jones has presented weekend mornings on Classic FM since 2002 and is due to add weekday mornings on the station in 2026. He continues to release seasonal recordings, including a Christmas duet with young chorister Malakai Bayoh, and remains active as both a broadcaster and recording artist.
