Chris Brown
Christopher Maurice Brown, born May 5, 1989, in Tappahannock, Virginia, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Discovered at age 13 by a local production team, he signed to Jive Records in 2004 and released his debut single "Run It!" in 2005, which made him the first male artist since 1995 to top the Billboard Hot 100 with a debut single.

About Chris Brown
His subsequent albums included Exclusive (2007), F.A.M.E. (2011), his first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Heartbreak on a Full Moon (2017), and Indigo (2019). His music blends R&B with pop and hip hop, and his live performances are built around choreographed dance routines that drew comparisons to Michael Jackson. He has sold more than 140 million records worldwide and has received numerous industry awards.
In February 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge stemming from an attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna, for which he received five years of probation and was ordered to complete community labor and domestic-violence counseling. He has faced additional legal disputes in the years since.
He has continued releasing music at a steady pace, with the albums Breezy (2022), 11:11 (2023), and Brown (2026), and continues to tour and record actively.
