About Indigo Girls

Their catalog includes Strange Fire (1987), their self-titled 1989 album, Swamp Ophelia (1994), Shaming of the Sun (1997) and Look Long (2020). They won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album in 1990 and have been recognized with the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts (2019) and induction into the Women Songwriters Hall of Fame (2022).

After releasing nine albums with major labels through 2007, Ray and Saliers founded their own label, IG Recordings, to continue releasing music independently. Their close vocal harmonies and acoustic-guitar-driven songwriting have remained the defining feature of their live performances.

Both members are longtime LGBTQ and environmental activists, and the duo has continued touring and recording consistently since forming in 1985.
