Nitzer Ebb
Nitzer Ebb is an English electronic body music band formed in Chelmsford, Essex, in 1982 by Vaughan "Bon" Harris (vocals, programming, synthesizers, drums), Douglas McCarthy (guitars, vocals) and David Gooday (drums). The band's name was created by cutting up words and letters and rearranging them to sound Germanic.

About Nitzer Ebb
After releasing early singles on its own label, Nitzer Ebb signed to Mute Records in 1986 and issued its debut album, That Total Age, in 1987. The band opened for Depeche Mode's 1987 European tour, which brought it wider international recognition, and followed with albums including Belief (1989), Showtime (1990), Ebbhead (1991) and Big Hit (1995).
Nitzer Ebb disbanded in 1995 and reunited in 2006, releasing Industrial Complex in 2010 and continuing to perform afterward. Vocalist Douglas McCarthy withdrew from live performances in March 2024 due to cirrhosis of the liver and died on June 11, 2025.
