About Ryan Bingham

His songwriting draws on Americana and roots rock, delivered in a weathered, road-worn voice. His studio albums include Mescalito (2007), Roadhouse Sun (2009), Junky Star (2010), Tomorrowland (2012), Fear and Saturday Night (2015), and American Love Song (2019), with "Southside of Heaven" serving as an early breakthrough single.

Bingham's best-known song, "The Weary Kind," was co-written with T Bone Burnett for the 2009 film Crazy Heart and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Beyond music, Bingham has worked as an actor, playing ranch hand Walker in the television series Yellowstone starting in 2018, a role that runs alongside his ongoing recording and touring career.
