The Comedy About Spies
The Comedy About Spies is a play by Henry Lewis and Henry Shields, written for Mischief Theatre Company, the group behind The Play That Goes Wrong. It is a Cold War-set spy spoof in which competing CIA and KGB operatives converge on a London hotel while chasing stolen plans for a secret British weapon, with the plot compounded by mistaken identities and double agents.

About The Comedy About Spies
The play premiered at London's Noel Coward Theatre in April 2025, directed by Matt DiCarlo, and received an Olivier Award nomination. It returned to the West End at the Adelphi Theatre in 2026.
