Max Raabe & Palast Orchester bring their timeless Weimar-era cabaret to Trier. Founded in 1985 by Raabe with fellow students at the Berlin University of the Arts, the orchestra specializes in dance-band arrangements of 1920s and 1930s German and American popular songs. Their first public performance was at the 1987 Berlin Theaterball, where the audience left the ballroom to hear them play in the lobby.
