Learn traditional breadmaking at the historic Casa de la Panadería on Madrid's Plaza Mayor. This former bakery once supplied the entire city with bread made from wheat sourced from the meadows of what is now Villa de Vallecas. Master bakers from ASEMAC guide a hands-on workshop where participants knead dough, learn about the history of this trade, and shape their own loaf.
The workshop, held in collaboration with bakeries Europastry, Panamar, and Monbake, provides all ingredients. Each participant takes home their unbaked loaf with baking instructions, and also receives a freshly baked bread on the spot. The workshop is open to all, with groups of up to 40 people per half-hour slot.
