Barrios que fueron pueblos: Aravaca (bicycle route)

Explore the history and urban landscape of Madrid on this guided bicycle route from Dehesa de la Villa to Aravaca, part of the European Mobility Week. The 13-kilometre linear ride uses bike lanes, the GR-124 trail, the green ring, and Casa de Campo, highlighting the lack of cycling connections between Aravaca and the rest of the city.

Once in Aravaca, participants discover the landmarks of this former independent municipality annexed to Madrid in 1951, following the series 'Barrios que fueron pueblos'. The route lasts about two hours and is recommended for ages 14 and up. Those using loan bikes must return by train with the centre's staff.

Free but with mandatory prior registration by email or phone. Helmets are recommended and required for minors under 18. Registration opens one month before the date.
