Olvidé la sombra de la encina

This puppet and object theatre piece explores rural memory and humanity's disconnection from the countryside. Three young city dwellers, a wooden puppet, and natural elements guide audiences through the history of Sierra Morena, revealing its biodiversity, traditions, and inhabitants.

The production is grounded in interviews with farmers and villagers from Córdoba and Sevilla, who shared knowledge of oak groves, pastures, pigs, olive groves, and cork oaks. Created by Raigambre Teatro, the company focuses on object theatre, lighting, and soundscapes to craft socially engaged, accessible performances.

Presented at the historic Teatro de Títeres de El Retiro in Madrid's Retiro Park, the show won Best Emerging Theatre Work and Best Scenography at the 'Escena 11' competition in Carabanchel. It is a beneficiary of Madrid City Council's creation grants.
