Atelier Tok-Tok « Trésors de poche »
Aug 1, 2026
Last date Jul 24, 2026. It is no longer on sale, but here are the details.

Every Friday evening from 10 to 24 July 2026, the Académie du Climat in Paris's 4th arrondissement hosts a free sewing, knitting, and embroidery meetup run by the association Les Effilochés. Participants bring their own damaged garments, patterns, or fabric projects and work alongside fellow enthusiasts in a collaborative, non-instructional setting. The venue provides sewing machines, needles, thread, and embroidery hoops, while attendees are encouraged to bring their own notions like matching thread and buttons.
This is not a formal class but an exchange among autonomous craft lovers. The event also carries an eco-conscious message: learning to repair and transform clothing helps reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry, which produces an average of 10 kg of textiles per person per year in France. The Académie's on-site café, open Wednesday to Saturday, serves vegetarian, seasonal, and locally sourced meals and drinks.
Registration is strongly recommended as spaces are limited, though drop-ins are welcome if room permits. The workshop takes place in the Manufacture room on the second floor, where a volunteer from Les Effilochés greets participants. For those who cannot attend, a quick email cancellation allows someone else to take the spot.
