Baignade Estivale at La Villette

Each summer, the City of Paris transforms the Bassin de La Villette into a free public swimming area, offering a refreshing escape in the heart of the city. The floating structure spans 16 by 100 meters and is divided into three zones: two shallow paddling pools (max 40 cm) for children, a small pool (1.20 m deep), and a large pool (2 m deep) for confident swimmers. Lifeguards are on duty, and water quality is checked daily.

Beyond swimming, the site features sports and leisure activities including trampolines for kids aged 6–14, baby-foot, pétanque, and basketball shooting challenges with prizes. The atmosphere is family-friendly and inclusive, with capacity limited to 500 people per day to ensure a safe and pleasant experience. Group visits require advance reservation by email.
