« Encender el cuerpo » de Rocío Molina

Rocío Molina, one of Spain's most audacious choreographers, returns to Paris with her latest creation, *Encender el cuerpo*. The piece strips flamenco down to its essence: the percussive footwork known as *zapateado*, a rhythm she has practiced since age seven. For Molina, this daily drill is not mere warm-up but the core of her choreographic research—a way to feel alive and inhabit an ever-renewed present.

The solo performance, described as a vertiginous journey, features occasional dialogue with longtime collaborator José Manuel Ramos Oruco, her "rhythm partner" for fifteen years. Their interplay fuels the sacred fire that ignites Molina's body, giving the piece its intensely burning title. A world premiere, the show runs approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.
