The piece, created for five performers from the inclusive company Dançando com a Diferença, focuses on silence, breath, and the quality of presence. Moroccan choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen unfolds a succession of situations marked by everyday gestures, transforming simple, repetitive, and sometimes fragile movements into a meditation on air, light, heat, weight, and stability.
Each of the five dancers develops their own state: Bárbara explores lightness, Sofia verticality and power, Sara warmth and energy, Telmo weight and stability, and Joana suspension and balance. Ouizguen, attentive to play, detail, and relationships between performers, works with what circulates between bodies, sound, and light, echoing the inner landscapes of Fernando Pessoa and the reflections of Mahmoud Darwich on what is transmitted beyond words.
With a sober vocabulary, "Este Mundo" embraces what is rarely expressed: silence, gaze, and breath. The stage becomes a common space where individual singularities meet, continuing Ouizguen's 15-year exploration of ritual and the everyday.
