Philippe Decouflé brings Haruki Murakami's novel *La Fin des temps* to the stage in a hybrid spectacle blending theatre, music, and dance. The story unfolds in two parallel worlds: 1985 Tokyo, where a man has lost his great love, and a dreamlike dystopia. The protagonist is split into three entities—"je", "moi", and "mon ombre"—embodied by Japanese star Tatsuya Fujiwara.

Decouflé, known for his work on the 1992 Albertville Olympics ceremonies, directs a troupe of nine actors and ten dancers. The production draws from musical comedy traditions like *Les Parapluies de Cherbourg* and Kabuki theatre, condensing Murakami's 700-page novel into a 2-hour-45-minute performance. The result is a dialogue between the hero's life and his dreams, questioning humanity and fragility.
