Laurent Maur, a harmonica player with an unusual career path, brings his quartet to Le Melville in Paris. After years of playing in the Paris metro, Maur studied at CIM and won the Trossingen international competition. He later spent several years in Asia before returning in 2016.

His new album blends French and international jazz, featuring compositions by Tom Jobim, Donald Harrison, and Larry Goldings, alongside a revisited "Javanaise" and Tony Murena's "Indifférence." Maur is supported by a stellar rhythm section: Mario Canonge on piano, Curtis Efoua on drums, and Maurizio Congiu on double bass.

This concert is a treat for jazz enthusiasts and a wonderful discovery for newcomers, showcasing Maur's incredible command of the chromatic harmonica in a vibrant, swinging set.
