Le Pouvoir de l'Anneau à la Seine Musicale

This concert weaves a sonic bridge between the Lord of the Rings and Wagner's Ring without words, revealing parallel universes where heroic motifs, dramatic tensions, and orchestral climates echo each other. The orchestra becomes the thread linking Valhalla and the Shire, gods and hobbits, heroes and giants in an epic and lyrical breath.

Under the direction of Constantin Rouits, with mezzo-soprano Airelle Groleau, the Orchestre Colonne performs Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings and Wagner's Ring without Words. An additional mystery piece, Invitation au Voyage, extends the musical dialogue between Wagner and Tolkien, offering a final burst of light and legend.

The program explores how motifs, dynamics, and orchestral textures respond to one another, revealing that great epics share common forms and energies. The concert lasts 1h50 with an intermission.
