Les Bibliothèques Hors les Murs 2026

Throughout the summer, the Médiathèque Hélène Berr brings its collection outdoors to the Jardin de Reuilly-Paul Pernin in the 12th arrondissement. Families are invited to sit in the garden and read books selected by librarians, or simply listen to stories read aloud in the open air. The sessions create a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere where children and adults alike can enjoy literature in a natural setting.

On Friday 21 August, the event expands to the Kiosque Citoyen du 12e on Place Félix-Éboué, where librarians from the Diderot and Saint-Éloi libraries join in. All sessions are free and open to everyone, though they may be cancelled in case of bad weather. It is a charming way to experience Parisian summer culture while discovering the city's public library network beyond its walls.
