Musique Baroque : Clavecin & Traverso

Overview

An afternoon of Baroque chamber music fills the Église Notre Dame du Travail in Paris's 14th arrondissement. The programme, titled "Sur les Routes d'Europe," features sonatas by Locatelli, Blavet, and Bach alongside pieces by Vivaldi and Duphly, performed on traverso and harpsichord.

Traverso player Irène Blanc began piano at age five and flute at eight, studying at the CRR de Paris and CRR de Rueil-Malmaison before specializing in traverso at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt and earning a master's at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Harpsichordist Iori Hayashi, originally from Japan, earned a piano degree from Kyoto City University of Arts before moving to France to study harpsichord at the CNSM de Lyon and CNSM de Paris, graduating with jury congratulations. He has performed as a soloist with the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Morocco and at the Sainte-Chapelle with musicians from the Orchestre de Paris.

The intimate setting of the church provides an ideal acoustic for this duo recital, offering a journey through the European Baroque repertoire. A suggested donation of 8 euros makes this a accessible cultural outing for classical music enthusiasts.
