New York Swing 4tet at Le Melville

Eliz Corbett brings her New York Swing 4tet to Le Melville for an evening of classic jazz standards. A New Yorker who fell in love with jazz during her college years near New York, where she studied with students of Kenny Barron, Corbett later moved to Paris to refine her singing and improvisation. She treats each standard with deep respect for the original composition and lyric poetry, while allowing room for personal expression.

Joining her is special guest trumpeter and composer Jean Gobinet, with whom Corbett has performed in larger ensembles. The rhythm section features seasoned musicians Vinh Lê on piano and Michel Rosciglione on double bass, creating a powerful and cohesive foundation.
