Olalaland: A Dreamlike Puppet Odyssey at Théâtre de la Bastille

Olalaland is a hybrid spectacle blending puppetry with other disciplines, presented at Théâtre de la Bastille in Paris. The show follows Madame Olala, a lunar character inspired by the silent films of Buster Keaton and Jacques Tati, as she journeys through a world where drawings come to life, music creates paths, and the everyday meets the fantastic.

Created by Clémence Jeanguillaume and Lionel Dray, this playful and poetic production is described as a joyful laboratory, an absurd and sensitive odyssey for dreamers aged 8 and up. The narrative unfolds like a dream, featuring a false note, 234 dreams, a people of mice, and a flying shark, alongside the delicate art of preparing a good breakfast.

Presented in alliance with Mouffetard – Centre National de la Marionnette, Olalaland offers a unique family-friendly experience at the historic Théâtre de la Bastille, inviting audiences into a whimsical world where black and white transitions to color.
