Photo Exhibition: Revealing the Evolution of Parisian Landscapes

This exhibition at La Roche in Paris's 14th arrondissement offers a unique visual journey through the city's changing landscapes. By pairing photographs from 1970 with contemporary shots taken by participants in the ongoing participatory photo campaign, it reveals the subtle and dramatic transformations of Paris over more than five decades.

The display is a mid-term showcase of the Observatoire photo participatif des paysages parisiens, a project that invites residents and visitors to contribute their own images until November 30, 2026. The exhibition also connects these photographs to the broader Atlas de paysages de Paris, a tool developed by the Habitat Research Center (EPFL) and published in 2024, blending expert analysis with public perception.

Visitors can explore diptychs that highlight changes in urban fabric, green spaces, and everyday scenes. The exhibition is free and open from July 8 to September 12, with a vernissage on July 8. It's a thoughtful, interactive way to see Paris through a new lens—and to add your own perspective to the ongoing documentation.
