Salsa Meets Jazz: Latin Rhythms in Paris

Salsa Meets Jazz brings together American saxophonist and flutist Oliver Griffith and French jazz piano virtuoso Patrice Galas, alongside Venezuelan musicians Xavier Padilla on bass and Rafael Mejias on percussion. Inspired by Latin American greats like Eddie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaria, and Poncho Sanchez, the ensemble takes audiences on a journey through salsa, samba, bossa nova, calypso, mambo, and tango, as well as Latin versions of jazz standards.

With decades of international stage experience, the musicians have collaborated with artists such as Gipsy Kings, The Supremes, Manu Dibango, Celia Cruz, Dizzy Gillespie, Franco de Vita, Arielle Dombasle, and Richard Galliano. The event takes place at Le Son de la Terre, 2 Port de Montebello, Paris 5e, offering an evening of live music and bistronomy inspired by world flavors.
