In this bold contemporary reimagining, Nathalie Garraud and Olivier Saccomano bring Shakespeare's Hamlet into the present day. The iconic characters—Hamlet, Horatio, Ophelia, Laertes—are reborn as four electric, irreverent young people navigating doubt, anger, and a search for meaning. Perched on a staircase, phones in hand, they speak of power, violence, corruption, and desire, wielding humor as a survival tool.

The production rubs Shakespeare against today's fractures, creating a lively, critical, and joyfully insolent tragedy. Presented at Théâtre Public de Montreuil and in itinerant partner venues, the show offers a fresh, unflinching look at our world through the lens of a classic.
