Glasgow 2026: Bowls and Para Bowls - Medal Event

Bowls is among the sports contested at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, running from 24 July to 2 August 2026. For the first time in Commonwealth Games history, Bowls and Para Bowls are staged entirely indoors, at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) rather than on outdoor greens — four portable rinks set up inside the arena remove wind and weather from the competition. The programme has also been trimmed to singles and pairs only, with the triples and fours events dropped from previous Games.

This is the twenty-second time lawn bowls has featured at the Commonwealth Games, missing only the 1966 edition, and the fourth time the sport has been staged in Scotland. The medal event for Bowls and Para Bowls takes place on Sunday 2 August 2026 in Glasgow.
