Madra Salach, the Irish contemporary-folk band from Dublin, bring their six-piece sound to Newcastle Upon Tyne. Formed in 2023, the group blends traditional Irish instrumentation with modern influences, creating a distinct folk-rock energy. Their debut EP, *It's a Hell of an Age*, released in January 2026, topped the Irish Independent Albums Chart and reached number 3 on the overall Irish Albums Chart.

Attendees can expect a lively set featuring tracks from the EP, including singles "Blue & Gold" and "I Was Just A Boy," alongside traditional ballads like "Murphy Can Never Go Home." The band's lineup—Paul Banks on vocals, Adam Cullen on guitar, Jack Martin on mandolin/tin whistle/synth, Maxime Arnold on harmonium, Dara Duffy on drums, and Jack Lawlor on bass—delivers a rich, layered performance that has earned them slots at festivals such as All Together Now and Electric Picnic.
