Rodrigo y Gabriela in Belfast

Rodrigo y Gabriela, the Mexican acoustic guitar duo of Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero, bring their blend of flamenco, rock, and heavy metal to Belfast. Their music consists largely of instrumental duets on flamenco guitar, with influences ranging from nuevo flamenco to Metallica. The duo's 2020 album *Mettavolution* won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.

Having started their career busking on Dublin's Grafton Street, they have since performed at venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and for President Barack Obama at the White House. Their live shows feature original compositions and covers, delivered with percussive guitar work and high energy.
