Sziget 2026: six days, one island, hundreds of acts

Overview
Overview
A week-long island of music on the Danube in Budapest, across every genre.
Read full details
Sziget takes over Óbuda Island, a strip of Danube parkland, for one of Europe's biggest multi-genre festivals. Rather than one stage with a handful of headliners, it spreads dozens of stages across the island, so a pop headliner can give way to a techno set, a hip-hop show or a circus tent within the hour — less a single concert than a temporary city built for the week.
The 2026 bill runs from arena-filling names — Bring Me the Horizon, Florence + the Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson and Skepta — down through hundreds of electronic, indie and rock acts, with a strong Hungarian contingent including Kispál és a Borz, Tankcsapda and Quimby. Genres shift by stage and by night rather than following one script, rewarding wandering over a fixed route.
Sziget runs on a cashless wristband, worth loading before day one. Campers pitch anywhere on Basic Camping or upgrade to a serviced site, and a boat shuttle from Jászai Mari Square crosses the Danube to the festival dock — a calmer route in than the bridges once the island fills up.
Where to buy
Good to know
- Sziget is fully cashless — load your RFID wristband via the festival app in advance to skip top-up queues on arrival.
- The Danube boat shuttle from Jászai Mari Square is a quicker, queue-free way onto the island than the bridge crossings.
- Basic Camping is included with multi-day passes and lets you pitch anywhere on the island; paid upgrades get you a serviced site.
- Days get hot and nights cool fast — pack sunscreen and one warm layer regardless of the forecast.
- Carry a portable charger — on-site charging points get overloaded and you'll want your phone for the digital wristband and ticket.
