Sukhishvili: Georgian National Ballet

Founded in 1945 by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili, the Georgian National Ballet is the first professional state dance company in Georgia. Over the decades, it has performed at world-famous venues including the Albert Hall, La Scala, and Madison Square Garden, earning a reputation for spectacular traditional Georgian dance.

The company features seventy dancers accompanied by a live orchestra. Audiences can expect to be mesmerized by intricate costumes designed by Simon Virsaladze and the signature gliding movement of female dancers—a style that even inspired the design of the Daleks in Doctor Who. This performance in Poznan brings a piece of Georgian cultural heritage to Poland.
