Clube de Leitura do Teatro Variedades

This monthly reading club at Teatro Variedades is dedicated entirely to theatre, offering sessions on authors, play readings, adaptations, criticism, and special meetings with artists. The goal is to read, discuss, and share a passion for theatre in a welcoming setting.

Each month explores a different theme, from the works of Jon Fosse and Natália Correia to contemporary Scottish theatre and the static theatre of Fernando Pessoa. The club culminates in an August session where participants take the stage themselves.

Held in the lounge of the historic Teatro Variedades in Parque Mayer, the club is coordinated by Isabel Milhanas Machado in collaboration with Lisbon's public libraries. It's a free, intimate experience for theatre lovers to deepen their knowledge and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
