Curso Intensivo de Serigrafia

This intensive screenprinting course at A Base in Lisbon pushes beyond conventional paper formats into collective, spatial, and installation-based processes. Led by João Barroqueiro, the experimental program draws on the layered logic of Robert Rauschenberg's Combines and Corita Kent's print work, transforming printing from mere image reproduction into a field of experimentation with layers, cutouts, overlays, scale, body, and composition in space.

Participants work with partial screens, cutouts, overlays, spontaneous prints, and collages, building a final collective piece scaled to the actual dimensions of the bodies involved. The course is open to all experience levels, inviting both newcomers and seasoned practitioners to explore screenprinting as a medium for composition, image construction, and spatial relationships.
