This staged tour at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II celebrates the 27th birthday of Queen Maria II with a whimsical, theatrical twist. The noble chambermaid Eugénia Tomásia attempts to prepare a watercress birthday cake, but the recipe seems cursed—censored ingredients, enchanted spices, and utensils that catch fire. Audiences join the Lobby Teatro company on an interactive journey through the theatre's history, where costumes, props, models, paintings, and photographs come to life.

The experience is designed for younger audiences and families, offering a playful and accessible way to explore the artistic and cultural heritage of the D. Maria II theatre. Created and performed by Joana Brito Silva and Mariana Fonseca, the tour weaves together storytelling and historical discovery, making it a unique outing for those curious about Lisbon's theatrical traditions.
