Mariam Rezaei returns to the Jazz em Agosto festival with her ferocious creativity, drawing highly experimental sounds from the turntable. The quartet, which also includes Mette Rasmussen on alto saxophone, Gabriele Mitelli on piccolo trumpet and electronics, and Lukas König on drums and synthesizer, takes its name from a Goya etching and dynamites genres as a daily practice. Integrating noise, jazz, electronic music and pure madness, the group delivers a feverish improvisation that, according to The Wire magazine, results in a superb, absorbing album—reflective and creative.

The concert takes place in the open-air amphitheater of the Gulbenkian Garden, part of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. The ensemble's debut album was released in 2025, and their music refuses to sit passively waiting for something to happen. Instead, they invent a sound that is both thoughtful and wildly inventive, making for an intense live experience.
