Assembled over more than 20 years by Francisco Capelo, the museum displays around 1,300 objects spanning from the 3rd century BC to the early 20th century.

Visitors can explore works from fourteen Asian countries, including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and the Philippines.
