Alexey Marti & Afrogumbo

Cuban-born percussionist Alexey Marti brings his high-energy fusion of timba, jazz, funk, Afro-Cuban folklore, salsa, son, rumba, and New Orleans rhythms to Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro. A member of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and bandleader of his own collectives, Marti has been a fixture on the local scene since 2008, with albums "Travesia" and "Mundo" showcasing his original compositions.

Attendees can expect a dance-worthy show blending Cuban conga and rumba with modern New Orleans percussion. The intimate venue offers dinner service in the Dining Room before the show, with charcuterie and cocktails available in the Music Room. Advance tickets are strongly recommended due to limited seating.
