Christian McBride & Ursa Major

Christian McBride, the eleven-time Grammy-winning bassist, brings his exciting quintet Ursa Major to the Blue Note Jazz Club for a night of dynamic jazz. The group features four rising stars: saxophonist Nicole Glover, guitarist Ely Perlman, pianist Mike King, and drummer Savannah Harris. Each musician brings a fresh, vital energy to the stage, creating an evening of inventive improvisation and tight ensemble work.

McBride, a Philadelphia native who started his career as a teen prodigy with Bobby Watson, has since become one of the most respected figures in jazz, leading multiple ensembles and serving as artistic director at NJPAC. His Ursa Major project showcases his commitment to mentoring the next generation, blending their youthful creativity with his decades of experience.
