Fais Do-Do With Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band

Every Sunday evening, Tipitina's in New Orleans hosts a traditional Cajun fais do-do dance featuring Bruce Daigrepont and his band. Bruce, a New Orleans native born in 1958, grew up immersed in Cajun culture and music handed down from his father. He began playing guitar at age five and later took up the French accordion, forming his own Cajun band by 1980. Over the years, he has become a beloved figure in the local music scene, popularizing Cajun dancing in the city.

Attendees can expect an authentic evening of live Cajun music and dancing in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Bruce's performances often include original songs like "Marksville Two-Step," which celebrate Cajun heritage and have resonated with audiences worldwide.
