Eric Johanson at Shank Hall

Eric Johanson, a New Orleans–based guitarist and singer, brings his blend of blues-rock to Shank Hall. Known for his #1 Billboard Blues album *The Deep and the Dirty* and the recent live release *Live In Mississippi*, Johanson has earned acclaim from *Guitar Player Magazine* and *Total Guitar* for his dynamic guitar work and songwriting.

Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, Johanson was immersed in music from a young age. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home, he relocated to New Zealand before returning to New Orleans in 2010. He became a sought-after session musician, playing with artists like Tab Benoit and Cyril Neville, and later signed with Whiskey Bayou Records.
