Guitarist Gareth Pearson, known as “The Welsh Tornado,” brings his virtuosic fingerstyle playing to Milwaukee’s Shank Hall. Blending country, folk, classical, pop, rock, jazz, swing, and bluegrass, Pearson’s performances feature both inventive arrangements of familiar tunes and his own intricate original compositions. Inspired by guitar legends like Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel, he has developed a style that is both technically dazzling and deeply entertaining.

Pearson’s career includes opening for Tommy Emmanuel on UK tours, performing with Ray Davies and Southside Johnny, and appearances at festivals such as the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Canadian Guitar Festival. His debut album “Urban Echoes Vol 1” was named an Essential Acoustic Album of 2010 by Acoustic Guitar magazine.
