Open Mic Performer Sign-Ups at The Bluebird Cafe

The Bluebird Cafe's Monday Open Mic is a performer-focused night: songwriters sign up online in advance for one of the open slots, then take the stage to share original work. Each writer gets the chance to play one or two original songs, solo or with no more than two other musicians, and the format keeps the focus on songwriting — drums and backing tracks are not part of it.

For those performing, the club has a house Taylor Grand Pacific guitar and a Kawai digital piano available to use, and each performer may bring one guest. Audience members who aren't performing can sit in on a first-come, first-served basis. It's a chance for developing writers and artists to try out new material, with the night supported by the Recording Industry Association of America.
