Public Image Ltd, the pioneering post-punk band formed by John Lydon after his exit from the Sex Pistols, brings its legendary experimental sound to Charlotte. Founded in 1978 with guitarist Keith Levene and bassist Jah Wobble, PiL quickly established an abrasive, bass-heavy style drawing on dub and avant-garde influences. Their seminal album Metal Box remains a cornerstone of post-punk.
