49 Winchester is an American country rock band formed in 2013 in Castlewood, Virginia. Founding members Isaac Gibson, Bus Shelton and Chase Chafin were high school friends who began touring the local area soon after graduating; the current lineup also includes Noah Patrick, Tim Hall and Justin Louthian. The band's name comes from the street address of Gibson's childhood home.

About 49 Winchester
The group blends country rock, Americana and Southern rock with the Appalachian traditions of its home region; frontman Isaac Gibson has said the band aims to serve as a torchbearer for Appalachian music rather than fit a single genre label. After self-releasing three albums between 2014 and 2020, the band signed to New West Records for Fortune Favors the Bold (2022) and Leavin' This Holler (2024), the latter including the song "Miles to Go," featured in the television series Yellowstone.
49 Winchester has toured supporting artists including Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Myers, Tyler Childers and Luke Combs, building a following through steady touring alongside its studio releases.
The band's fifth album, Change of Plans, is set for release in May 2026.
