Anberlin are an American alternative rock band formed in 2002 in Winter Haven, Florida, evolving from an earlier group called SaGoh 24/7. The lineup solidified by 2007 around vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young.

About Anberlin

Signed to Tooth & Nail Records, the band released the albums Blueprints for the Black Market (2003) and Never Take Friendship Personal (2005) before Cities (2007) became its first release to reach the top 20 of the Billboard 200. After moving to Universal Republic Records, Anberlin issued New Surrender (2008), Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place (2010, produced by Brendan O'Brien), and the heavier, electronically inflected Vital (2012).

Anberlin announced its breakup in January 2014, releasing a seventh studio album, Lowborn, later that year before a farewell tour. The band reunited in 2018 and resumed touring and songwriting, releasing the EPs Silverline (2022) and Convinced (2023), which were later combined into the full-length album Vega (2024).

In October 2023, Stephen Christian stepped back from touring, and Memphis May Fire vocalist Matty Mullins took over as the band's live singer. With Mullins fronting the band, Anberlin released Nevertake, a re-recorded version of Never Take Friendship Personal, in March 2025.
