ARKAYLA
Arkayla are an English indie rock band from Manchester who came together as teenagers through chance connections made in school corridors and college rehearsal rooms, united by a shared devotion to guitar music. The four-piece is fronted by vocalist and guitarist Cal Blakebrough alongside guitarist Finley Rubens, with a rhythm section rounding out the lineup.

About ARKAYLA
The band released the single "Ella Malone" early in their career to comparisons with the Beatles, before their 2025 EP Don't Look for Answers showed a more confident, stage-built sound, featuring the tracks "Waste of Time," "Doctor," "Fortune Teller," and "Long Way Back." Critics have praised the band's vocals and harmonies, and drawn comparisons to the Smiths, the La's, and Oasis.
Arkayla built momentum through relentless live performance, developing a reputation as a powerhouse live act, and have supported acts including the Lathums, the Sherlocks, Seb Lowe, and the Royston Club. Their lineup solidified roughly a year before the 2025 EP's release, after which the band's songwriting accelerated and their following grew substantially online.
Since their 2023 debut, Arkayla have become one of Manchester's most talked-about young bands, headlining an increasingly large sold-out hometown show and expanding into international touring while working on new material for a planned return to the studio.
