Austin FC is a professional soccer club based in Austin, Texas, competing in Major League Soccer. The club was announced in 2018 and began play in 2021, becoming the first major professional sports league team based in Austin, which prior to that year was the largest U.S. city without one.

About Austin FC
Sebastián Driussi, signed ahead of the club's debut season, became its first All-Star and has gone on to become its leading goalscorer across all competitions. Austin FC won the Copa Tejas rivalry trophy against FC Dallas in 2022 and 2023 and reached the MLS Western Conference finals in 2022, where it was eliminated by LAFC. In 2025 the club advanced to the U.S. Open Cup final, losing to Nashville SC.
Home matches are played at Q2 Stadium, a 20,738-capacity venue built specifically for the club. Austin FC has sold out every one of its home games since its 2021 debut, a streak that stands as the longest active sellout run in MLS.
