Beabadoobee is the stage name of Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus, an English singer-songwriter born 3 June 2000 in Iloilo City, Philippines. She moved to London with her family at age three. After being expelled from her Catholic school at seventeen, she began writing songs on a second-hand guitar bought by her father, taking her stage name from an old online handle.

About beabadoobee
Her 2017 debut track 'Coffee' spread widely online and led to a deal with the label Dirty Hit, for which she released four EPs between 2018 and 2019. Her debut album, Fake It Flowers (2020), drew on 1990s alternative rock and earned her a nomination for the Brit Awards' Rising Star. The follow-up, Beatopia (2022), incorporated folk, bossa nova and psychedelic rock and became her first UK top-ten album.
A sample of 'Coffee' underpinned Powfu's 2020 hit 'Death Bed,' introducing her songwriting to a much wider audience beyond her own releases. She has since supported Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and Olivia Rodrigo's Guts World Tour, building a live reputation that outgrew her early bedroom-pop recordings.
Her third album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves (2024), produced with Rick Rubin and Blake Slatkin, became her first number-one on the UK Albums Chart. In mid-2026 she announced a fourth album, Pylon, featuring Hayley Williams and Turnstile's Brendan Yates, ahead of her first arena tour spanning the UK, Europe and North America.
