About Bloc Party
The band's 2005 debut Silent Alarm went platinum and helped define the mid-2000s post-punk revival, mixing angular guitar riffs with dance and electronic textures. Follow-up albums A Weekend in the City (2007), Intimacy (2008), Four (2012), Hymns (2016) and Alpha Games (2022) extended that sound in different directions, and the band has sold more than three million albums worldwide.
Live, Bloc Party channel the tension of their studio recordings into a tighter, more percussive set built around Okereke's sung-spoken vocal delivery and Lissack's layered guitar parts. The band has picked up multiple NME and PLUG Award nominations and an Ivor Novello Award along the way.
A seventh studio album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, is set for release in September 2026, alongside touring tied to the 20th anniversary of Silent Alarm.
