Bonnie Raitt
Bonnie Raitt is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter born November 8, 1949, in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway star John Raitt. She built her early reputation as a slide guitarist steeped in blues, folk and country, and released her self-titled debut album in 1971 after being discovered performing at the Philadelphia Folk Festival.

About Bonnie Raitt
After two decades of critical respect but modest sales, Raitt broke through commercially with Nick of Time (1989), which topped the Billboard 200 and won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. She followed it with Luck of the Draw (1991) and Longing in Their Hearts (1994), and has continued recording into the 2020s with releases including Just Like That... (2022), whose title track won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 2023. She has won 13 competitive Grammy Awards in total and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
Raitt was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and was ranked among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. In 1996 she became the first woman to receive a signature Fender guitar line. Alongside her music career, she has been a longtime advocate for environmental and social causes and has been sober since 1987.
In 2024 she received a Kennedy Center Honor, recognizing a performing career that spans more than five decades of touring and recording.
