Cameron Whitcomb
Cameron Donald Whitcomb was born March 20, 2003, in Peace River, Alberta, and raised in Nanaimo, British Columbia, in a household of three brothers where he grew up listening to hip-hop before discovering Johnny Cash and Tyler Childers in his late teens. He later worked on the Trans Mountain Pipeline in Kamloops, British Columbia, before turning to music full-time.

About Cameron Whitcomb
At nineteen, he began posting singing videos to Reddit; the clips led to a scouted appearance on the twentieth season of American Idol in 2022, where he reached the top 20. His sound fuses country, alternative country, and folk rock, with confessional songwriting addressing addiction, mental health, and failed relationships drawn from his own recovery.
His singles Quitter, Medusa, Options, and Kingdom of Fear charted in Canada and internationally, and his debut album The Hard Way was released in September 2025 on Atlantic Records.
He won Breakthrough Artist and Fans' Choice awards at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards, and Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year at the 2026 Juno Awards, becoming the first American Idol contestant to win a Juno.
