About Cavetown
Skinner launched a YouTube channel in November 2012 and released his first original song, "Haunted Lullaby," the following year, self-releasing music on Bandcamp from age fourteen before signing to Sire Records in 2019. His albums include Lemon Boy (2018), Sleepyhead (2020), Worm Food (2022) and Running with Scissors (2026), with songs such as "Boys Will Be Bugs," "Devil Town" and "This Is Home" achieving platinum certification in the United States.
Skinner built his audience through years of independent, DIY releases before major-label attention followed, and he continues to tour behind his catalogue. Now based in New York City, he counts millions of YouTube subscribers and monthly Spotify listeners among an audience drawn to his intimate, emotionally direct songwriting.
